Assessment Process
At the start of the evaluation, we meet with you for an in-depth clinical interview to discuss your medical history, psychological background, and social concerns. This collaborative conversation helps us gain a comprehensive understanding of your needs so we can design a personalized assessment plan.
We then administer a tailored battery of tests to evaluate cognitive strengths and areas for growth. Some of these measures involve hands-on problem-solving and performance-based tasks, while others are self-report questionnaires that capture emotional, social, and behavioral functioning. The selection of assessments is based on your age, background, and specific referral questions. Once testing is complete, we integrate the data to develop a clear profile of your cognitive and emotional functioning. We meet with you to review the findings and provide practical, individualized recommendations to support success in everyday life. A detailed report is then shared with the referring provider and other members of your care team, as appropriate.
Our recommendations are customized for each person and may include psychotherapy, family therapy, academic or occupational support, speech and language services, or other evidence-based interventions to best address your needs.
